Description
The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is soliciting bids for construction and commissioning of the Southerly Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station. The project includes completing a partially constructed shaft as a pump-station wet well; furnishing and installing seven submersible pumps, dedicated piping, screening and flushing systems; constructing an at-grade pump-station building with electrical and control rooms, cranes, support spaces, and associated site utilities; and connecting the facility to the existing sewer system. The completed station will provide approximately 54 million gallons per day of dewatering capacity and will commission the Southerly Storage Tunnel System. The work also includes improvements at multiple remote sewer and regulator sites, including removal of bulkheads, flumes, debris, and temporary equipment; installation or adjustment of slide gates, weir plates, orifice plates, hydraulic power units, instrumentation, electrical and HVAC systems; concrete infill and structural modifications; site restoration; and testing, startup, and commissioning. The contract is subject to the District's Small Business Enterprise policy and a 20% SBE goal. The estimated probable construction cost is $82,000,000, and bids may not exceed 120% of that estimate.
