Description
The City of Klamath Falls is soliciting Statements of Qualifications and Experience for architect-engineering services supporting construction of an F-35 Formal Training Unit fuel cell maintenance facility at Building 333 on Air National Guard-leased premises at Crater Lake–Klamath Regional Airport. The scope includes a 5,900-square-foot dual-bay fuel cell maintenance hangar addition and renovation of approximately 2,500 square feet of existing office and breakroom space into a female locker room and restroom. Design services include field surveys and investigations; architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, telecommunications, and geotechnical design; construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents; value engineering; and coordination with military, airport, utility, environmental, and building-code authorities. The design must address HVAC upgrades for positive air pressure and exhaust-fume reduction, power and supplied air, lightning protection, fall arrest, wet-pipe sprinklers, fire alarm and security systems, utilities, environmental requirements, and applicable Air National Guard, Department of Defense, Unified Facilities Criteria, and FAA standards. Statements of Qualifications must describe the firm, comparable experience, federal-project experience, key personnel, workload, technical approach, and recent similar-project references.
