Description

The City of Providence seeks one or more qualified contractors for scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, emergency and non-emergency repairs, and separately authorized replacement of stationary standby generators, portable/mobile generators, mobile light towers, automatic transfer switches, trailers, and directly associated equipment. The work includes semiannual and annual maintenance, diagnostics, load-bank testing, service reporting, emergency response, parts replacement, and repair-versus-replacement assessments. Replacement work may include equipment procurement, engineering, permitting, demolition, installation, electrical and fuel integration, startup, testing, training, and closeout documentation. Addendum 2 updates the equipment inventory and clarifies that annual load-bank testing is required for applicable life-safety sites, including public-safety and fire-station locations; monthly transfer testing may be priced separately. The indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract has a three-year initial term with two one-year renewal options. Bidders may submit proposals for one, two, or all three separately awardable categories: stationary generator systems; portable/mobile generators; and mobile light towers. The response must include completed City forms, pricing schedules, a qualifications and response-capacity narrative, technician qualifications and manufacturer training, comparable references, service limitations and subcontractor information, warranty commitments, and additional category-specific capability information. MBE/WBE participation forms are required for every bid, with a stated combined 20% participation goal and a waiver form available when the goal is not met.
