Description
Boone County is soliciting bids from vendors to purchase approximately 70 tons of county-generated scrap metal annually, primarily consisting of culvert pipes, fittings, brake drums, aluminum signs, steel posts, and tire rims. The material is offered on an as-is, where-is basis. Bidders may propose vendor pickup from the County's North and South Road and Bridge facilities, including provision of a roll-off container or trailer, or an alternate arrangement under which the County delivers the scrap metal to the vendor's facility. The initial contract period is December 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027, with five additional six-month renewal periods available at the County's discretion. The selected vendor must provide pricing per ton, identify a scale site, remove material as scheduled, and assume responsibility for damage caused during removal. Responses must include the provided Response Form, Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, and applicable work-authorization or individual-bidder certification materials, along with required debarment certification and supporting documentation where applicable.
