Description
Public Utility District No. 1 of Lewis County is soliciting proposals for a revenue-generating agreement under which the contractor will purchase and remove recyclable metals and other surplus materials on an as-needed basis. The contractor must provide containers, vehicles, scales, lifting devices, qualified personnel, permits, equipment, lawful transportation, recycling or disposal, timely pickups, and related reporting and payment services. Materials include aluminum, copper, insulated copper, brass, iron, breakage items, electrical PVC, pipe and fittings, and electrical porcelain. The contractor must describe its qualifications, comparable experience, equipment and pickup capabilities, weighing and classification procedures, reporting and payment processes, and ability to provide responsive service. The proposal must include pricing based on the listed material categories and address the District’s preferred container sizes and pickup requirements. The initial contract term is two years, with optional one-year extensions by mutual written agreement. Insurance, environmental compliance, property protection, safety, records, audit, and subcontractor requirements apply during performance.
