Description
Serve Alaska, within the State of Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, is accepting competitive applications for FY 2027 AmeriCorps State and National programmatic grants. Eligible applicants include Indian Tribes, institutions of higher education, local governments and school districts, nonprofit organizations, and states and U.S. territories. Proposed programs must be evidence-based or evidence-informed, include at least one aligned performance measure, and generally enroll at least 20 AmeriCorps members. Serve Alaska priorities include education, mental health, workforce development, conservation, senior support services, veterans and military families, homelessness and housing, tribal organizations, public safety and criminal justice, bridge building, and missing or murdered Indigenous people. The RFP contemplates three-year grant awards, with initial funding for the first year and continuation funding subject to appropriations and satisfactory performance. Applicants may seek cost-reimbursement or fixed-amount grants; new applicants are eligible for cost-reimbursement grants but not fixed-amount grants. Applications must include the required eGrants application components, narratives, performance measures, logic model, budget materials, and applicable supplemental documents. The narrative is limited to 11 double-spaced pages, and the logic model is limited to eight pages. Cost-reimbursement applicants must provide matching funds, with a first-time successful applicant generally subject to a 24 percent match for the first three-year funding period.
