Description
The City of Leander is offering $100,000 in competitive Fiscal Year 2027 grant funding to qualified nonprofit organizations for programs and services that primarily benefit Leander residents. Eligible activities include utility, food, rent, mortgage, clothing, homeless, transitional housing, home maintenance and safety, fall prevention, hoarding mitigation, mental health, medical access, social isolation, workforce development, job training, and financial literacy services. Multiple awards are anticipated, with individual award amounts determined by available funding and demonstrated need; matching funds are not required. Applicants must demonstrate nonprofit eligibility, at least one year of continuous operation, adequate financial controls, an active governing board, measurable outcomes, and the ability to collect and report performance data. The initial grant period is one year, and the City may offer a competitive second round subject to annual funding. Applications must be completed through the City's CivicPlus Portal, then uploaded to Euna Solutions as two separate uploads: the completed application PDF and one file containing all required supporting documents. Required supporting documentation includes the IRS determination letter, most recent IRS Form 990, current operating budget, most recent financial statements, board list, W-9, certificate of insurance naming the City as certificate holder, completed grant project budget template, and completed conflict-of-interest policy and disclosure statements. The application requires organizational-capacity, program, service, outcomes, budget, sustainability, collaboration, and certification information.
