Austin Energy seeks proposals for long-term purchases of energy, capacity, and associated environmental attributes or renewable energy credits from utility-scale resources located in the ERCOT service region. Eligible resource types include solar, wind, geothermal, nuclear, other carbon-free technologies, co-located battery energy storage systems, repowers, existing operating assets, and new-build projects. Austin Energy anticipates procuring up to 1 GW across one or more projects. The initial submission requires a completed Intake Form Excel workbook and a Project Summary and Developer Overview PowerPoint. The intake workbook requests project, technology, generation, pricing, equipment, site, financing, permitting, interconnection, and developer experience information. The PowerPoint must summarize the developer’s qualifications and the principal features of each proposal, including product and pricing, delivery and settlement, expected energy quantities, term, commercial operation date, and development milestones. A detailed plan for implementing the Work Site Agreement is also required. Proposals must be submitted as PDFs with supporting materials; a secure file-sharing site may be used if the deadline email includes access instructions. The solicitation requires a minimum 120-day proposal validity period and seller performance security equal to 6.25% of the project’s contract notional value.
