Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is offering FSC- and SFI-certified sawtimber and pulpwood stumpage from 184 acres in Loyalsock State Forest. The estimated volume is 1,452.27 MBF of sawtimber, primarily tulip poplar and red maple, and 507.62 HCF of pulpwood, primarily northern hardwood and red maple pulp. Volumes and quality are estimates and are not guaranteed. The successful bidder must fell designated trees, improve approximately 0.52 miles of secondary haul road, clean three existing culverts, install temporary culverts, geotextile, stone, and a permanent gate, seed approximately one acre of disturbed area, and comply with logging, environmental, safety, and forest-protection requirements. On-site crew leaders must hold Pennsylvania Sustainable Forestry Initiative Core Level Training cards or comparable accepted training. Electronic bids must be submitted through Bid Express, and the contract expires June 30, 2029.
