Description
The City of Scranton is soliciting bids for demolition of the property at 911 Battle Street. The work includes complete demolition and off-site disposal of the structure, foundations, utilities, sidewalks, fencing, and other on-site debris; asbestos abatement before demolition; required permits and regulatory notifications; utility disconnection, removal, and capping; dust control, fencing, traffic control, and protection of adjacent occupied properties; and lawful disposal of demolition materials. The contractor must backfill and grade the disturbed area, provide topsoil, seed and maintain the restored site, and furnish disposal receipts. The bid must include a detailed cost proposal, service approach, experience and personnel information, required registrations and licenses, a bid bond, insurance information, required affidavits and certifications, and other specified disclosures. Performance and payment bonds are required at award, each for 100% of the agreement amount. The contract remains in effect through satisfactory completion of the project.
