Description
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol San Diego Sector, requires comprehensive pest control management services for its surrounding stations, checkpoints, and facilities. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and is set aside for total small businesses. The selected vendor will be responsible for inspecting, treating, and preventing common pests, including arthropods, vertebrate pests, and disease vectors, using environmentally sound and effective methods. Services include managing pests such as scorpions, cockroaches, termites, ants, fleas, stored product pests, mosquitos, mice, rats, bats, bees, and wasps. The contractor will also perform treatments for standing water to control mosquito larvae and recommend structural and procedural modifications to reduce pest harborage. Non-chemical technologies will be prioritized, with judicious use of pesticides when necessary, always presenting the lowest potential hazard to human health and the environment. The contractor must maintain a detailed work plan, possess appropriate licensing and certifications from the State of California, and provide two phone numbers for urgent, unscheduled service requests, with a 24-hour response time. All pest management operations, including surveillance, inspections, and chemical/non-chemical treatments, must be recorded and reported monthly. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price purchase order with a base period of one year and four 12-month option periods.
