Description
Broome County Department of Social Services is soliciting proposals from eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to provide enhanced and expanded non-residential domestic violence services for TANF-eligible homeless families with children whose income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Services may include information and referral, counseling and safety planning, advocacy, language access, transportation, support groups, and children's services. The program must be victim-centered, culturally competent, trauma-informed, safety-focused, and coordinated with other domestic violence and community service providers. The initial contract is expected to begin October 1, 2026, for one year with five optional one-year renewals. The available budget for fiscal year 2026–2027 is $33,224.00. Proposals must include an application narrative, detailed budget and budget narrative, job descriptions, a 501(c)(3) certification, required county certifications and forms, and insurance documentation or acknowledgment. The narrative is limited to five pages, the budget is limited to three pages plus job-description attachments, and attachments are limited to ten pages.
