Description
Ocean County is soliciting contractors to provide equipment parts, repairs, and preventive maintenance for its solid waste management operations. The scope includes periodic inspection, testing, calibration, emergency response, and replacement parts for seven methane detection systems; quarterly inspections, annual hydraulic preventive maintenance, annual cleaning, repairs, testing, and certification support for truck scales and related weighing equipment; and scheduled maintenance and parts for four Morbark grinders. Bidders must provide both parts and labor for applicable line items, including labor rates and parts discounts. Requirements include qualified and insured technicians, emergency response procedures, manufacturer training or demonstrated competence for the truck scales, New Jersey weights-and-measures certifications and licenses for scale service personnel, certified test weights, business licensing, insurance and safety documentation, and references from at least five current customers with similar truck-scale operations at multiple locations. Parts are generally delivered to County locations, while services will be performed primarily at the Northern Recycling Center in Lakewood and Southern Recycling Center in Manahawkin, New Jersey; exact grinder locations may vary between those facilities.
