Description
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is seeking information from sources capable of providing a Micro Electron Diffractometer (MicroED) System for the Molecular Foundry Division. The preliminary requirements include continuous-rotation electron diffraction at 200 kV, low-dose STEM/TEM screening, direct electron-counting detection, automated grain recognition and centering, concurrent data processing, multi-crystal merging, integrated structure solution and refinement, stable diffraction-ready optics, ambient and cryogenic operation, and modular upgrade paths. The requested capability also includes delivery and installation, seismic anchoring, a dedicated closed-loop water chiller, on-site application training, and a multi-year service-level agreement. Respondents must provide relevant product literature and/or technical specifications demonstrating compliance and identify the instrument's country of origin. This is a Sources Sought/RFI for market research only and will not result in an award or subcontract.
