Description
The City of Mishawaka Utility Board is soliciting sealed bids for improvements to East Primary Clarifier No. 5 at the Mishawaka Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work includes draining and cleaning the tank; removing and replacing the longitudinal collector, cross collector mechanisms, chain and flight equipment, drives, and associated appurtenances; and performing related structural repairs and electrical upgrades. Bids are limited to plan holders of record and must include the completed Bid Form and all documents listed in the Checklist for Bidders. A 5% bid bond or certified check is required with each bid. The awarded contractor must provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 125% of the contract price, plus a 10% maintenance bond for three years after final completion. Substantial completion is required by September 14, 2027, and final completion by October 14, 2027; onsite work is expected to begin in summer 2027.
