Description
Elkhart County is soliciting bids for intersection improvements at CR 22/Orpha Drive and CR 37 under Elkhart County Project No. 25003. The contractor must provide the labor and materials necessary to complete the work and submit an itemized proposal based on approximate quantities and project components. Bidders must be currently pre-qualified by the Indiana Department of Transportation and submit proof of pre-qualification. The bid package must include the County's proposal forms in accordance with Revised Indiana Form 96, a Contractor's Financial Statement for proposals of $5,000 or more, a non-collusion affidavit, a 10% bid bond, and the required proposal and bid sheets. Work may begin April 5, 2027, must be completed by September 3, 2027, and the roadway must be open to traffic no later than August 6, 2027; liquidated damages are $3,000 per day per item for delays beyond the stated completion dates.
