Description
The State of West Virginia is seeking vendors for an open-end, multiple-vendor contract to provide solar salt for the Department of Transportation's snow removal and ice-control operations. The scope includes F.O.B. delivery to designated transportation district and maintenance locations throughout West Virginia, as well as optional agency pickup pricing that includes loading salt into agency vehicles. Solar salt must contain at least 95% sodium chloride, contain no anticaking or free-flowing additives, have no more than 1% insoluble residue and no more than 2% moisture by weight, and meet specified particle-size grading requirements. Vendors must submit pricing by ton using the provided pricing pages; delivery vendors may bid on any or all districts. The contract is open-ended with estimated quantities only and no guaranteed future usage. Verified supplier testing data, a Safety Data Sheet, and a Product Data Sheet are required before contract award.
