Description
The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County is soliciting proposals for approximately 3,000 to 6,000 tons per year of 2NS Modified Sand. The material must meet specified gradation requirements, including 100% passing 3/8 inch, 90–100% passing No. 4, 65–100% passing No. 8, 20–55% passing No. 30, and 0–5% loss on washing. The vendor must provide all labor and equipment for excavation, loading, grinding or screening, trucking, and stockpiling, and must provide qualified soils-facility test results when requested. Deliveries are to be made within 24 hours of request, Monday through Friday, and may be required in adverse weather. Pricing is by actual tonnage and must remain firm through December 31, 2027; the contract may be extended by mutual agreement for up to three additional one-year terms. A completed reference-information page is required with the bid. Insurance certificates are required after award and before work begins, so they are not submission-time requirements.
