Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is soliciting one new, fully assembled orchard air-blast sprayer for use in pecan orchards. The sprayer must be PTO-powered and compatible with a John Deere 5130 ML tractor, with a minimum 1,000 RPM/120 HP PTO requirement, hydraulic tilt control with at least 160 degrees of movement, at least 12 nozzles, a minimum 40-inch fan, a minimum 72-inch volute, and at least 1,000-gallon holding capacity. The preferred tank material is fiberglass, and the unit should include a hydraulically adjustable fan for left- or right-side spraying, high-flotation tires, a turbo pump, and tractor-seat-accessible on/off controls. The quotation must include all delivery costs, a minimum one-year warranty, product information, detailed warranty information, the earliest delivery date and method, pricing, and relevant past-performance information. The government anticipates making one firm-fixed-price purchase-order award and will evaluate price, product acceptability, warranty, delivery, and relevant past performance.
