Description
The City of Troy is soliciting sealed bids from qualified masonry contractors for a three-year term contract supporting the renovation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of City-owned buildings. Work may include brick and concrete masonry unit repairs, mortar repointing, exterior wall and chimney repairs or replacement, lintel and window-sill work, historic brick restoration, temporary shoring and scaffolding, netting, work-zone traffic control, and related building-renovation services. Services will be ordered through written task orders on an emergency and non-emergency basis and paid using hourly labor rates, material and equipment markups, and an equipment rate schedule. Contractors must respond to emergency calls within 12 hours, provide labor, small tools, transportation, and materials, and comply with applicable laws, OSHA requirements, New York prevailing-wage requirements, and stated insurance obligations. Bidders must demonstrate at least ten years of relevant experience, hold a valid New York business license, and submit at least three example projects with references.
