Description
The State of Michigan is soliciting bids for exterior renovation and painting at the Michigan Department of Transportation's Marion Garage. The work includes power washing exterior surfaces; removing loose or peeling coatings; tuckpointing approximately 20% of the CMU block wall; applying masonry conditioner and elastomeric coating to CMU walls; cleaning and sealing split-face block with a water-based silane/siloxane sealant; replacing exterior caulk with urethane or elastomeric caulk; and painting metal panels, frames, doors, pipe bollards, and steel columns with specified primers and finishes. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and related services, protect adjacent property, and comply with the project specifications and prevailing-wage requirements. Bids must include the completed bid forms and attachments identified in the solicitation, including the bid summary, bid schedule, bid security, QDV representation, non-collusion affidavit, asbestos attestation, and state project registration documentation. A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough is required, and the work is to be completed by the contract completion date stated in the bidding documents. Performance and payment bonds are required for contracts over $50,000, while a five-percent bid guarantee is required with every bid.
