Description
Polk County is soliciting sealed bids from experienced and qualified contractors to provide all labor, equipment, and materials for the brick-laying portion of the Van Wert Fire Station project. The approximately 4,600-square-foot station will have brick facades on all four sides. For bidding purposes, contractors should price the Old Charleston brick manufactured by Ragland Clay Products; Polk County will select the final brick color after award, with any lower-cost substitute deducted from the agreed final price. The scope includes supplying all masonry materials, laying the brick, filling necessary expansion joints, cleaning the masonry work, and providing a final brick wash. The proposal package must be returned in a sealed envelope clearly marked for the Van Wert Fire Station - Brick. The bid form requires a total cost, company information, address, phone number, and authorized signature. Polk County may check contractor references before award.
