Description
The City of Blountstown, Florida, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for full requirements power supply services. The City provides retail electric service to approximately 1305 residential and commercial consumers within its 3.2 square mile service territory in Calhoun County, Northwest Florida. The current power supply contract terminates on April 30, 2027, and the City is seeking proposals for a minimum of five years of service, commencing May 1, 2027. Vendors must demonstrate their ability to serve the City's load, deliver power to the designated delivery point, possess financial stability, have adequate resources, and a history of reliable service. The City's peak demand in 2025 was 8,274 kW, with a total energy requirement of 34,668 MWh. Power is delivered at a single 12.47 kV point within the Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) service territory.
