Description
The State of Florida's Department of Transportation intends to enter into a single-source contract with Acrow Corporation of America for the procurement of temporary bridge parts. These parts are crucial for temporary bridging needs arising from bridge replacements or disaster damage. The components must be constructed entirely of high-strength, high-quality U.S. steel from ISO-certified mills and be hot-dipped zinc galvanized to prevent corrosion and allow for easy maintenance. Bridge designs should be customizable to achieve desired lengths and widths while maintaining strength through the addition of prefabricated modular components. This solicitation is posted in accordance with Florida Statutes and will remain posted for a minimum of 15 business days. The contract is intended for a term of two years. Acrow Corporation of America is the intended source because the Department of Transportation currently owns and utilizes proprietary Acrow 700XS Series bridge parts. To ensure interchangeability and proper fit and function of existing systems, all components must be procured from Acrow Corporation of America, as using parts from other manufacturers would void the Acrow Bridge warranty. There are no known resellers for these proprietary parts.
