Description
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) intends to enter into a single-source agreement with Agilent Technologies, Inc. for laboratory equipment maintenance. This agreement will cover maintenance, support, repairs, parts, supplies, software, and hardware support for all Agilent Technologies, Inc. equipment used by the Division of Agricultural Environmental Services and the Division of Food Safety. These analytical systems are crucial for complex analyses to determine chemical residue levels in food, supporting core missions related to public health, food safety, pesticide regulatory programs, and the Food Emergency Response Network. Due to the high sample load and system costs, any delays in repairs significantly impact the laboratory's capabilities. Agilent Technologies, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer and the only known source for maintenance and parts for this specialized equipment. The approximate contract amount is up to $200,000.00, with an estimated amount of $149,182.80 for the period of July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
