Description
The USDA Forest Service is conducting market research for the anticipated Leverich Helio Stewardship IRSC. The planned work includes hand-felling and whole-tree helicopter yarding and removal of approximately 151 acres of sawtimber, comprising approximately 2,045 CCF of Douglas-fir and other sawtimber and 290 CCF of lodgepole pine sawtimber. The contractor would also pile slash at landings and perform associated landing cleanup, erosion-control, equipment-cleaning, fire-prevention, and operational safety activities. The work also includes decommissioning approximately 0.59 miles of temporary road, maintaining haul roads, and complying with detailed Forest Service timber-removal, helicopter-operation, road-maintenance, environmental, and safety specifications. The anticipated period of performance is April 1, 2027, through April 1, 2029. This notice is a Sources Sought/Request for Information only and requests capability statements addressing company information, relevant hazardous-fuel-reduction and steep-slope timber experience, safety programs, crew qualifications, equipment and mobilization capabilities, and past-performance references.
