Description
The City of Leesburg is soliciting sealed bids from a single prime contractor for construction of water and sanitary sewer system improvements serving multiple streets. The work includes bursting approximately 6- to 8-inch existing gravity sewer mains with HDPE pipe, installing 8- and 10-inch cured-in-place piping, rehabilitating existing manholes, constructing standard and doghouse manholes, and transferring, reinstating, or replacing existing sewer service connections. The project also includes installation of a new 6-inch PVC water main with fittings, valves, fire hydrants, and services, along with all other work shown in the contract documents. Bids will be submitted on a lump-sum and unit-price basis, including alternate bid items if identified in the bid form. The project is expected to be funded in part through the Community Development Block Grant program and is subject to Build America, Buy America Act requirements for covered iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials.
