Description
The City of Perry is soliciting sealed bids for Phase 2A of the Sadie Heights Flood Improvement Project. The work includes excavation and grading of a portion of a regional inline stormwater pond, drainage-channel improvements between Stonegate Trail and Rocky Road, demolition, clearing and grubbing, haul-road installation and removal, rock excavation, storm-drainage and erosion-control measures, traffic control, and restoration of residential easements. Easement work includes tree and vegetation removal, fence removal and installation or relocation, gate installation, irrigation restoration, and relocation of sheds, trailers, swing sets, and garden beds. Phase 2B, including the remaining pond excavation and grading for the future Avion Park subdivision, will be performed separately by the developer and concurrently with Phase 2A, requiring coordination between contractors. Addendum 3 changes bid item 17, Disturbed Area Stabilization (Ds4), from 81,000 square yards to 7,350 square yards. The project requires a 5 percent bid security, performance and payment bonds after award, specified insurance, bidder qualifications documenting relevant projects completed within the past five years, a mandatory pre-bid meeting and field visit, and completion within 240 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with final completion within 60 additional days. All permitted wetland impacts must be physically disturbed by March 14, 2027.
