Description
The City of Ferguson is soliciting proposals for comprehensive towing services for the Ferguson Police Department. The scope includes police-ordered, accident-related, abandoned-vehicle, impounded-vehicle, emergency, heavy-duty, specialty, and criminal-investigation towing; vehicle recovery and transportation; secure storage; after-hours, weekend, and holiday dispatch; and related administrative, reporting, title-processing, customer-notification, and fee-management responsibilities. The contractor must provide a 24-hour live dispatch function, at least three light-duty tow trucks including one flatbed, access to heavy-duty recovery equipment and air cushions, trained personnel and facilities for electric and hybrid vehicles, and secure storage facilities within five miles of Ferguson Police Department headquarters. Storage must include capacity for at least three vehicles indoors, at least 35 vehicles outdoors, and a controlled-access evidence area. The contractor must meet specified response times, maintain required records, provide monthly reports and customer information materials in English and Spanish, comply with applicable Missouri and federal regulations, and carry the specified commercial, automobile, umbrella, garagekeepers, cargo, and workers' compensation insurance. The initial term runs from November 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewal terms at the City's option.
