Description
Olathe Unified School District 233 is soliciting proposals for replacement of wireless data-cable infrastructure in elementary, middle school, and alternative-education buildings. The project is estimated at approximately 124,000 linear feet of Cat6A Ethernet cabling, with the final scope dependent on which buildings are included after the walkthroughs. The contractor must install cable pathways and management hardware, patch panels, jacks, patch cords, and related distribution equipment; terminate, cross-connect, label, and test all cabling; provide certification and test documentation; restore fire-rated walls where penetrated; and document cable runs, termination points, and network topology. The bid must include lift rental and floor-protection materials. Crews are expected to remain dedicated to the project from April 1 through July 31, 2027, with a dedicated project manager and weekly status meetings. Vendors must attend the mandatory walkthrough, and all bids must be submitted through the IonWave portal.
