Description
Johnson County is soliciting sealed bids for the Adult Residential Center Campus ADA Modifications Project. The work includes remodeling and reconfiguring two existing restrooms for ADA compliance at Adult Residential Center 1 and Adult Residential Center 4, along with miscellaneous site and building improvements necessary to bring the facilities into compliance. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and related work required for completion. The project includes construction requirements for controlled institutional facilities, including worker background checks, escorted site access, security restrictions, hot-work and red-tag permits, and coordination with the County and its consultants. A bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required; performance and statutory payment bonds at 100% of the project cost are required after award. The anticipated construction period is November 16, 2026, through June 1, 2027, followed by closeout through June 15, 2027.
