Description
The City of Detroit is seeking a contractor to provide front, side, and rear windshield and window replacement and repair services for automotive and heavy-duty/construction equipment. The scope includes glass installation, seal replacement, defrost wiring services, vendor-supplied template and cutting of flat glass for heavy-duty equipment, and installation of city-purchased glass when applicable. Services may include vehicle makes and models beyond those listed in the price sheet. Respondents must have at least five years of automotive glass replacement and repair experience, be registered with the Auto Glass Safety Council, employ certified AGSC technicians, and be able to calibrate advanced driver assistance systems. The contractor must be located within 25 miles of Detroit. The contract term is two years, with one award anticipated on a low total net bid basis. The response requires a completed respondent questionnaire, price sheet, required forms and certifications, and supporting documentation such as AGSC certification, financial statements, and relevant experience information.
