Description
Glendale Union High School District is soliciting qualifications from Construction Manager at Risk firms to provide preconstruction and potential construction services for improvements at Independence High School. The anticipated work includes safety improvements, a secure single point of entry, structural improvements, remodeling or demolition of existing buildings, and construction of a new administration or classroom building while the campus remains operational. The selected firm will provide constructability review, cost estimating, value engineering, scheduling and phasing, design coordination, GMP development, subcontractor procurement and coordination, and continuous on-site construction services if construction proceeds. Potential construction work includes demolition, site, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology, fire protection, accessibility, utility, and landscaping improvements. The estimated project budget is $10 million, with tentative construction from summer 2027 through summer 2028 and substantial completion in June 2028. The initial contract runs from award through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional 12-month renewal periods.
