Description
The McKinleyville Community Services District is soliciting construction bids for the Highway Sewer Crossing Retrofit. The work includes two steel-cased sewer crossings beneath U.S. Highway 101 using horizontal auger boring: one 18-inch PVC or HDPE carrier pipe and one 12-inch PVC or HDPE carrier pipe. The project also includes new sewer manholes, 10- to 18-inch PVC sewer mains installed by open trench, connections to existing sewer mains and manholes, manhole coating and rechanneling, temporary bypass pumping, dewatering, settlement monitoring, cathodic protection for the south crossing casing, paving, fencing, landscape restoration, and related traffic, erosion-control, and site-restoration work. The solicitation requires a qualifications statement addressing geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, horizontal auger boring, and carrier pipe installation. A 365-calendar-day construction period is specified. Bidders must submit a prescribed bid proposal with bid security, subcontractor details, addenda acknowledgment, required certifications, prevailing-wage and Davis-Bacon documentation, and the required qualifications materials.
