Description
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires repair work on the fire system at the Transportable Housing Storage Site (THSS) in Selma, Alabama. This includes investigating and repairing an underground leak at Fire Hydrant #1, replacing a missing sprinkler head, replacing the Fire Department Connection (FDC) sign, conducting a 5-year internal inspection of Systems #1, #2, and the riser room, replacing specific signs, and servicing the fire pump by removing, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling the top casing and rotating assembly. Additionally, the contract includes annual fire system inspections, quarterly wet sprinkler inspections, annual fire pump tests, monthly fire pump run tests, annual backflow preventer inspections and tests, annual fire extinguisher checks (for 30 extinguishers), annual fire hydrant tests and lubrication (for 6 hydrants), and an annual fire alarm system test/inspection. Optional services include additional repairs/replacements (jockey pump, controller, fire pump control panel, fire hydrant, underground valve) and general future maintenance, all requiring Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) approval before work commences. The repair work under CLINs 1 and 2 must be completed within 30 days after award. Inspections under CLIN 3 will be performed as scheduled, with reports due to the COR within 5 days of completion. The period of performance is from July 28, 2026, to July 27, 2031, with a base period and four option periods.
