Description
The City of Sacramento is soliciting bids for a two-year contract to maintain eight Nuevo-area streetscape sites totaling approximately 61,083 square feet. Required services include landscape and streetscape maintenance, mowing where applicable, edging, pruning, fertilization, hand weeding, pre- and post-emergent weed control, litter and debris removal, irrigation system inspection and adjustment, and maintenance of landscaped medians, soundwall frontages, open spaces, roundabouts, and related areas. The contractor must maintain public visibility and access, use appropriate traffic-control signage and safety equipment, and perform work in accordance with the City's landscape maintenance specifications. The scope also includes as-needed repair and specialty irrigation work, emergency irrigation response capability, and repair crew rates. Bidders must hold the specified California landscaping, pesticide-control, applicator, business-tax, and related registrations; provide five references; and submit required pricing, licensing, local-business-preference, and other bid forms. Subcontracting of maintenance services and pesticide applications is prohibited. The contract amount is not to exceed $249,999.
