Description
The Fairfield Alabama Housing Authority is soliciting proposals for comprehensive lawn care and grounds maintenance at its Central Office, Mattie Gill Jackson Gardens, Demetrius Newton Gardens, and scattered sites. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, fuel, materials, supplies, and safety resources necessary for mowing, edging, trimming, shrub and small-tree maintenance, weed and herbicide control, flower-bed maintenance, leaf removal, trash and debris removal, and final cleanup. The scope includes recurring seasonal mowing and grounds services, with service frequency subject to weather, turf conditions, site conditions, and Agency direction. Contractors must maintain adequate personnel and commercial-grade equipment, complete each development's scheduled mowing within one working day when reasonably practicable, protect residents and property, maintain required licenses and insurance, and provide at least three references from the previous three years involving similar services. Proposals are evaluated on technical approach, experience and qualifications, management/staffing/equipment capacity, past performance, and price. The initial contract term is one year, with up to four additional one-year option periods.
