Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, is soliciting grounds maintenance services for the Center for Medical, Agricultural, and Veterinary Entomology. The contractor must furnish all personnel, supplies, and equipment for 36 service visits per year: biweekly service from October through March and weekly service from April through September. The Performance Work Statement applies to the full five-year contract duration, including the base period and four option years. The scope includes mowing grass to 2.5 inches; trimming approximately 150 linear feet of designated shrubbery and hedges; weed eating and edging; maintaining specified fence-line and building defensible-space areas; clearing vegetation from sidewalks, walkways, drives, curbs, and parking areas; blowing and sweeping paved surfaces; removing lawn-maintenance debris and general litter and leaves; and maintaining designated areas around multiple buildings. The site is approximately 11 acres, including buildings, walkways, and driveways. A contractor-developed Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan tailored to the 10 PWS work areas is acceptable. Subcontracting is permitted, but the technical submission must identify self-performed and subcontracted work, and the extent of subcontracting will be evaluated.
