Description
The City of Hialeah is soliciting a contractor to pick up special waste from the Streets Division maintenance yard and haul it to a Florida Department of Environmental Protection-certified landfill, transfer station, or recycling facility. Materials may include sediment, silt, sand, gravel, organic debris, trash, yard waste, roadway debris, oil and grease, and water or sludge containing suspended solids and other contaminants. The contractor must provide all labor, vehicles, roll-off containers, hauling, disposal, franchise, fuel surcharge, administrative, and related services on an all-inclusive per-ton basis. The contractor must maintain required permits and licenses, use properly trained personnel and compliant equipment, provide disposal documentation and monthly invoices, and safely manage hazardous material if identified. The solicitation requires demonstrated similar experience, permits, licenses, business registration, three references, and numerous completed affidavits and response forms.
