Description
The Massachusetts Trial Court intends to engage Mediation Works Inc. to revise an existing online conciliation training program originally developed for volunteer attorneys so that it trains District Court judges in dispute-resolution skills. The work includes reviewing the current curriculum, collaborating with the Office of Education, Training, and Continuing Education, adding and updating training materials, modifying the PowerPoint presentation, reformatting existing materials, and updating the website that hosts the training and related materials. Up to eight additional hours of revision work are anticipated. The revised program will comprise eight hours delivered over two days through online video conferencing, twice during Fiscal Year 2027. Each session will support 12 to 16 participants and include multiple facilitators, two role-play exercises, and four coaches assigned to each role-play group. The estimated total cost is approximately $35,000, including approximately $3,100 for program revisions and approximately $1,000 per participant. This is a Due Diligence Posting of a Notice of Intent to accept a best-value offer from Mediation Works Inc.; other qualified vendors may submit evidence that they can provide a comparable or better offer.
