Description

The University of Utah is conducting a multi-step, two-stage procurement for general construction services at the HELIX Office Building. The approximately 750-square-foot Level 2 project will convert existing open space into four offices, add four workstations, and perform minor demolition, new walls and doors, finishes, mechanical and electrical revisions, fire-sprinkler modifications, fire-alarm work, temperature-control work, and related closeout services. The building will remain occupied and operational, requiring dust and debris containment, occupant safety, advance coordination of noisy work and shutdowns, and minimized disruption to ongoing office and conference-room operations. The first stage seeks proposals from contractors for short-listing. Required qualifications include a project manager and superintendent with at least five years of experience within the last five years working in an active office or conference setting. Short-listing evaluates past performance or references, a statement of qualifications, and a project management plan.
