Description
Miami University is requesting proposals for a fully integrated inverted laser-scanning confocal and super-resolution microscope for its Center for Advanced Microscopy and Imaging. The system must support high-sensitivity quantitative spectral fluorescence imaging, photon counting, near-infrared detection, FRET, live-cell and live-organism imaging, thick-tissue and whole-mount imaging, automated multidimensional acquisition, spectral unmixing, super-resolution imaging, and offline quantitative image analysis. Required components include specified detectors, lasers, objectives, environmental controls, piezo Z-axis positioning, motorized stages, acquisition and analysis software, a dedicated workstation, and related accessories. The scope also includes delivery, installation, optical alignment, commissioning, performance verification, initial and continuing training, technical and applications support, troubleshooting, and available maintenance plans. Proposals must address the specifications item by item, provide detailed product literature and pricing, identify any exceptions or deviations, include at least two similar-project references with contact information, describe sustainability practices, and submit the required signed Proposal Offering Form. Evaluation will consider qualifications, references, technical compliance, delivery and availability, equipment options, quality, usability, installation cost, serviceability, reliability, and value-added services.
