Description
Miami University is soliciting bids for replacement of the existing Kreger Hall roof. The work includes removal and replacement of existing clay roof materials, installation of Ludowici Georgian clay roof tile and special shapes, self-adhering underlayment, copper flashing, corrosion-resistant fasteners, roof cement, sealants, sheet-metal components, and associated cutting, patching, cleanup, and coordination with the occupied facility. The specifications require a roofing installer with at least three years of documented experience, product data and shop drawings, samples, manufacturer installation instructions, and a 75-year clay roof tile manufacturer warranty. Additional matching roof tile equal to 3 percent of the installed quantity, but not less than one full carton, must be provided for maintenance. Bids must be submitted using the OFCC forms in the Front End documents through the electronic bidding system. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates for Butler County trade labor. Supplier registration requires acceptance of the system terms, selection of applicable classifications and commodity codes, and designation of an authorized bid signatory.
