Description
The Town of Plainville is seeking bids for Contract 2027-3E, which involves the removal and replacement of existing concrete sidewalks on Fleetwood Drive and Hilltop Road with new five-foot concrete sidewalks. The work is to be performed in Plainville, Connecticut. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids by 2:00 PM local time on June 30, 2026. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of 5% of the total bid amount in the form of a certified check or bid bond. Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, equal to the value of the contract, will also be required. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570. Bidders must also submit a completed Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Compliance Certification with their bid. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including spending allocation goals (25% SBE and 6.25% M/W/DisBE), and non-discrimination requirements enforced by the CHRO. MBE's, WBE's, and SME's are encouraged to apply. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on June 23, 2026, at the Plainville Municipal Center in the office of the Engineer at 10:00 AM.
