Description
The Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) requires a custom-built, high-powered workstation capable of running, modifying, and creating advanced AI models to support research studies. Current workstations at NSMRL are unable to support the computationally intensive and complex AI training models required for advanced, AI developer-level functionality. This custom workstation will be a standalone unit with specific features to ensure efficient execution of AI-based research activities. The workstation will be a Puget Workstation ThreadripperPRO WRX90 T142-XL, including components such as an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX CPU, 512GB RAM, dual NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q Workstation Edition GPUs, and 16TB of NVMe SSD storage. It will be pre-loaded with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and include a 3-year parts warranty and lifetime labor/tech support. The vendor will perform rigorous benchmark testing, including CPU, GPU, RAM stability, and disk performance tests, with results to be delivered electronically within 30 days of completion. The workstation is to be delivered to the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory in Groton, CT. The period of performance is "as soon as possible," with an estimated delivery date of July 31, 2026. Payment will be made via electronic funds transfer through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system.
