Description
The Town of Vernon, Connecticut, through its Cultural District and CT Main Street Accelerator Program, is seeking a professional artist or artist team to design and install a large-scale narrative mural at 1 Prospect Street, Vernon, CT. The mural should convey the dynamic energy of the Rockville area and use the theme 'Threads of Community' to celebrate the people, places, and traditions of Rockville. The project aims to create a welcoming sense of arrival and contribute to the revitalization of the historic mill town. The artist will be responsible for surface preparation, installation, and applying UV sealant and anti-graffiti coating. The budget is $17,000, covering artist stipend, materials, equipment, and liability insurance. Proposals are due July 15, 2026, and must be submitted via email as a single merged PDF.
