Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy requires temporary sewer line services to establish a bypass around a compromised section of their primary force main. This service is needed until a permanent repair can be completed. The scope includes providing, installing, operating, and demobilizing a temporary bypass piping system, with all work considered maintenance using Service Contract Act wages. The contractor will be responsible for mobilizing and installing the piping, ensuring secure joints, providing road crossing protection, and performing pressure testing. Rental equipment such as composite hose, pipe, bends, layflat hose, suction hose, road crossings, and gate valves will be provided by the contractor. Pumps are expected to deliver 600 gpm. The contractor must also provide a Project Manager and qualified personnel, including at least one State Licensed Plumber. The period of performance is approximately 365 days from the date of award, with the primary place of performance at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. Work is generally expected between 0700 and 1700 EST, but outside hours may be approved for operations and repairs. The contract type will be Firm Fixed Price.
