Description
The City of Abilene is soliciting proposals for food, beverage, vending machine, and optional vending kiosk concessions in the passenger terminal at Abilene Regional Airport. Proposers may submit a standalone vending-kiosk concept or propose traditional food and beverage service, vending concessions, or a combination. The airport currently has two self-service mini-market-style stations, and proposers must recommend an appropriate mix of food and beverage vending machines and other concession services. The proposal should address the proposed menu or product selection, pricing, operating hours, staffing, payment methods, stocking and replenishment, sanitation, maintenance, security, customer service, and any phased rollout. Kiosk proposals should include equipment specifications, operating model, staffing, stocking and replenishment plans, payment systems, remote monitoring, cleaning, and product categories. Services on the secured side require airport security badges and Security Threat Assessment background checks; a new badge fee of $65 and annual renewal fee of $25 are currently stated. The City permits qualified subcontractors in good standing to perform restocking, cleaning, and routine servicing. The contract term is negotiable for up to five years, with optional extensions by mutual agreement.
