Description
The City of Columbia, Missouri, Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a contractor to design, engineer, furnish, deliver, and install a custom interactive and inclusive playground at North Village Park. The base bid includes playground design, 2D plans, 3D renderings, playground components, materials, and installation meeting applicable CPSC, ADA, and ASTM requirements. The solicitation also includes bid alternates for protective artificial fall surfacing across the play area and a shade structure covering the play area. The shade alternate includes conceptual and sealed permit drawings, structural and wind-load calculations, electrical plans, a third-party welding certificate, and complete installation of footings, posts, cable, canvas sails, and lighting. The project has a $320,000 total budget, requires a five-percent bid bond, and requires performance and labor-and-material payment bonds at 100 percent of the contract price for projects exceeding $50,000.
