Description
Boone County is soliciting bids for the replacement of an existing Trane air-handling unit at the Boone County Annex. The work includes dismantling and disposal of the existing unit; furnishing and installing a new heating and air-conditioning system; connecting to existing ductwork, electrical, gas, condensate, thermostat, and refrigerant systems; and completing testing, adjustment, air balancing, commissioning, and cleanup. The solicitation requires a lump-sum bid, proposed working days, prior experience information, subcontractor information, specified certifications and affidavits, and a 5% bid bond or certified check. The successful contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each equal to the full contract price, and comply with stated insurance, prevailing-wage, OSHA-training, and warranty requirements.
